The owner of an e-commerce store selling hookahs, tobacco, and accessories was facing a challenge in sales. His old website was developed on a simple page builder for online stores that did not allow for technical SEO optimization. As a result, the website didn’t get new customers because search engines didn’t show it in the search results. When our client decided to switch to a new technology, he contacted Artilab. We reviewed his old website, and the new requirements of our client, and offered him to develop the online shop on OpenCart.

The Task: To develop a new website from scratch according to the design provided by the client and to host it on OpenCart. Our task was to create new functionality using the latest techniques and approaches in web development, technical SEO optimization, and speed optimization of the online store.

Our client received a new modern online store that can now cover all his business needs and sell his products. The Artilab team has developed a new platform for the website that can implement any tasks and make improvements. This means that the platform is scalable and flexible, and in the future, it will help to save money and time for changing or expanding the functionality.

We have implemented a custom automated workflow for processing orders and many tasks for the manager’s convenience, which works well and correctly for the client’s business. In addition, we have implemented functionality for an individual bonus system and improved integration with Nova Poshta. In addition, our team implemented a reporting mechanism and profitability calculation in the admin panel.

We devoted a lot of focus to the technical SEO implementation according to the client’s specifications and website speed optimization (Google Page Speed is in the green zone for all devices). As a result, the website began to appear in search results and our client now has a constant increase in new customers.

While working on the new website, we fixed logical and technical bugs that were still present on the old website and also improved the visual components.
